Tai O Historical and Ecological Experience, Fishermen's Life Day Trip (L10013)

Seafood Feast Day Trip (Green Tourism) Departure Date: 2021 (Sunday) Meeting Time: 9:00 AM, Tung Chung Station

In the morning, take a bus from the designated location to Tai O for a visit to the convenience store, the North Island Boundary Marker, the New Kei Bridge, the Kwan Tai Temple, and a salted fish production factory. Gain a deeper understanding of the origins and lifestyle of Tai O. Tour members can purchase local specialties and take photos freely. Enjoy a delicious seafood meal in Tai O. After lunch, a demonstration by the Tai O Fishermen's Cooperative will introduce the techniques of using nets and fishing tools. Tour members can try their hand at net-catching techniques, and will later be introduced to the techniques for making salted eggs and salted fish. Each member will also have the opportunity to make their own salted eggs and salted fish to take home and enjoy. The tour concludes with free time for photos. A shuttle bus will then take you back to the meeting point.

Note: All participants must provide the first four digits of their ID card for record-keeping and must protect the natural environment, taking away any trash or waste generated during the trip.
